What this site is

Wood Projects Guide publishes beginner woodworking plans and guides: what tools to buy first, how to read a plan, how to choose lumber and how to make a cut list. Our free PDF, 10 Beginner Weekend Woodworking Projects, collects ten small projects you can build with basic tools.

Who runs it

The site is published by Costa Launch LLC, a small company based in Spring, Texas. Our emails come from Fabio, who runs the company. We are not a manufacturer, a store or a woodworking school.

How we write our plans

  • We use the actual sizes of store bought lumber, not the nominal names on the label.
  • We check every cut list against standard board lengths, including the width of the saw blade.
  • We keep joinery simple: screws, glue and clamps, so you can start without expensive tools.
  • We do not claim results we cannot back up. Measure your own boards and dry fit before you commit.
